Showers as a Tutorial Centre

Showers International High School started as a tutorial centre in 1997/98 with three students.  Initally, it registered students for CIE O levels only, conducted by the British Council, By September 2004, it received official registration as a full-fledged secondary instituiton, qualified to register students for examinations by WAEC, NECO and CIE (Cambridge International Examination). At present there are approximately 185 studenst entrolled in Port Harcourt and Calabar Centers. We have fully equipped classrooms , Science Laboratories, Computer Laboratories, Library with back up of 60,000 books, Metal workshop, Music room etc. Class sizes ranges between 12-15 students per class.

Our vision  is to provided quality education based on Sound Christian principles. To further this vision we anticipate moving into our permanent site (Port Harcourt) by the end of this year, 2009.  Calabar Site will be towards the year 2012 

Perspective of Proposed Classroom and Administrative Block

Our Permanent school site is located at Oyigbo, Port-Harcourt. The foundation of the Classroom and Adminstration have been laid and we seek to accomodate 500 students approximately on our permanent site with each class size ranging from 20-25 students.

We are determined to make a difference in the Education Sector just because we care for the future of our Nation. The future of this nation depend on the type of children we produce.  Hence we teach our children to see themselves as the Future Leaders.
