National Approvals

We have approval for the full secondary school establishment from the Rivers State and Cross River State Ministries of Education. Currently Junior Secondary School 1-3 and Senior Secondary School 1-3 are in full session. Our facilities have been approved for the WAEC and NECO external examinations - Junior and Senior classes. All students are required to take these examination during their program of study. 

International Approvals

We have approval from the British Council for the conduct of the Cambridge International Examination. We perform a Cambridge checkpoint examination for the Junior School in JSS 3; in the Senior School all students are expected to take the Cambridge IGSCE O/level examination in SS3. Students can also take the Cambridge IGSCE A/level examinations which give them direct entry qualifications to Universities in the United Kingdom and some Universities in Nigeria.

Our facility has been approved as a Prometric Examination Centre to register and test students for TOEFL exams. Classes are continuously organized for TOEFL, SAT and GRE examinations.

We have MOUs with many top universities and colleges abroad to ensure smooth transition for our students wishing to study abroad have choice of university, and also to enable us monitor their progress. 

The IUFP (International University Foundation Programme) has commenced in SIHS  from January, 2009, to enable our students develop some maturity before progressing abroad for further studies, and also to save cost for the first year of university study.  The IUEP is a fast track one year program that qualifies you to a university in the UK

  • University of Fraser Valley, Abbottsworth, BC Canada,  for Pre-Engineering Foundation Programme,
  • TRU, in Canada
  • KNUST Ghana with over 500 students sent by us,
